Prayer at Hatfield Road

Prayer is a vital part of our relationship with God

At Hatfield Road we have a variety of ways of participating in the fellowship of prayer.

A dedicated band of people in the Church act as Pastoral Visitors and, together with the Minister and Pastoral Secretary, seek to respond and offer support to people in times of need.

Another dedicated group is committed to praying confidentiality in response to any request for prayer. Please contact Roy Vivian (housegroups@hatfieldroadmethodist.org) with any such requests.

We have a prayer team which is available to pray with people before or after morning worship.

We operate a prayer tree which allows matters of concern, for which prayer has been requested, to be quickly notified to the membership of the church.

We have a prayer book for use during service prayers of intercession, together with our local Anglican colleagues at St Paul's Church we collect and use prayers placed on the prayer board at the local Morrrisons Supermarket two weeks a month which are also used during intercessions.

We know this is a valued prayer ministry both for the congregation and for those who are prayed for. However, if you would like prayer for someone, before doing so please ensure that the person concerned is happy that they be prayed for in this public way before you add them to the prayer tree or book.

We have two prayer meetings held at the church on Tuesday morning from 09:00 to 09:45 and Wednesday morning from 07:00 to 08:00.

We hold a monthly "Quiet Reflective" service on the third Sunday of the month at 19:00 which allows space for reflection and prayer in a service context.
