Circuit Prayer Diary 2019/20 – Introduction
St Albans and Welwyn Methodist Circuit Monthly Cycle of Prayer
Be thou my vision, Lord,
this day and every day,
the centre of my life,
the focus of my thoughts. Be thou my wisdom, Lord,
the inspiration of my words,
in every situation,
Your Spirit my support.
Like the Methodist prayer handbook, this cycle is organized on the basis of days of the month *Day 1 to Day 31+. It is designed to inform and refresh our life together as a Circuit, enabling us to pray for each other so that no cause is overlooked or forgotten.
Prayer is an important part of our lives as Christians. Prayer is the way that we can talk with God and listen to God. It enables us to communicate with God on a very personal level and throug prayer we can develop a relationship with God.
Through prayer we can:
- Praise God
- Say thank you to God
- Gain the strength we need to get through tough times
- Ask for God’s help
- Meet with God
- Listen to God
- Seek God’s guidance for our lives
- Simply talk to God
May God bless you in your times of prayer and may we know that in all our activity and our coming and going, that people are praying for us too.
