Praying for our places of work
We pray for our places of work. This could be a private employer, the government, ourselves if we are self employed, or our families if we provide care for family members. Be with our 'employers' as they continue to provide us with work. If we work alongside others, we are given the opportunity to work out our faith in the workplace, and so we pray we might make a difference to the lives of those we work with by displaying Christian values in how we deal with our work and work relationships.
For some the workplace may be a stressful place, so we pray for them and ask that their burdens are diminished or become bearable again. We also pray for those who are unable to work or for those who are unable to find employment and ask that they may be comforted accordingly.
