Christingle Making and Service
On Friday 20th December children and adults gathered for a wonderful time of celebration. The afternoon started with opportunity to make Christingles which represent Christ’s light coming to the world. Alongside this there were craft activities making angels and stars as well as colouring and puzzles. A delicious tea was provided for the children while the adults enjoyed cups of tea and cake. Thank you to all the caterers and helpers.
We then went into the church for a joyful Christingle service led by Rev Andrew Prout. The Christmas story was told and songs were sung, enthusiastically accompanied by the children with percussion instruments. Finally the candles were lit as we pondered the wonder of God’s miraculous gift of His Son, Jesus, coming to Earth as a tiny baby bringing light to the world.
Wishing you God’s blessings this Christmas.
