Charities Update
Our Church Council nominates three “chosen charities” – one local, one national and one international. Since autumn 2016, they have been, respectively, Youth Talk, Headway and ShelterBox. Unless determined otherwise, money raised during our events and activities is split equally between those three. In practice, it is accumulated until sizeable cheques can be sent.
The following table summarises our charitable activities during Methodist Year Sep 18 – Aug 19.

All money collected has been passed to the beneficiaries. As £256 for the chosen charities was carried over from the previous year, each received £566. In addition, Sarah Wallace received £100 from the church towards her mission in Bangladesh, and Babies and Toddlers raised £285 for Bliss (for babies born premature or sick).
We normally change our chosen charities every 2-3 years so we should be reconsidering them in 2020.
