My Top Ten Hymns
Challenged to come up with a top ten with a Christian theme I have decided to start with our hymns.
As you can imagine this is a difficult process as there are so many I could choose and the selection could change as often as the sun rises!
Rather than just pick ten and list them I have given a short reason for my choice, the words (where they are no longer in copyright) and then some background to the writing of the hymn. Whether I can keep this level of detail up remains to be seen! I have picked the first five and will add the remaining five as time permits.
As I have said it is no easy task picking ten from the many thousands available!
The pictures illustrating the hymns are from the Circuit Quiet Day and the Communion Table fall from The Bourne Methodist Church in Southgate.
Perhaps I will follow with my top ten worship songs, my top ten Bible Passages and possibly my top ten Psalms
