We pray for all who are in the need of our hospitals: Those who are ill and in-patients in one of the many wards, all who attend out-patient clinics for appointments or treatments, and all who are waiting for treatment or test results.
We pray for all who are in pain - physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually.
We put into your hands all those who work in hospitals and in community clinics and homes: doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, radiographers, receptionists, front-line emergency workers, porters and many others. We remember those who work behind the scenes in laboratories, in offices and undertaking cleaning and administration. We pray for the stress that they all undergo, aware that the people they deal with are anxious and unwell and that resources are increasingly scarce. Give them your strength to deal with the often complex and demanding work of caring and curing.
Please help those offering voluntary support to those who need it in our hospitals: Chaplains and visitors, transport providers and those just offering a friendly face. Help us all to do our best to support those involved in hospital work and those who have need of their services.
