We pray for the continuing work of implementing our and our Circuit Vision: The Mission of the St Albans & Welwyn Circuit is to reveal the Kingdom of God through the Methodist people and their ecumenical partners across central Hertfordshire. We aim to do this through the Holy Spirit in the worship of God, building up the church, making disciples of Jesus Christ and transforming society by working for justice, peace and unity.
God, grant them unfailing love for those people among whom you appoint them as pastors and teachers. May they boldly proclaim your truth and faithfully celebrate your sacraments. Give them wisdom in their witness and service.
We ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we continue to work to implement, along with the Circuit Leadership Team, the decisions of the Circuit Trustees. May we be open to new ways of working and being.
We give thanks for those who continue to serve as supernumeraries in our Circuit: The Reverends John Churcher, Peter Hudson and David Mullins, for all the ways they continue to share their gifts amongst us. Praying too for their spouses: Di, Celia and Louise. Common Worship (adapted)
