Quick lowdown on what the stewards have been up to.
What a summer! Val hung up her stewarding spurs (and we had a lovely steward’s dinner courtesy of Eric), and the big void she left has been filled by not one, but TWO new stewards.
Joe Kinchenton joined us over the summer and Noelene Browning has just joined us. A big welcome to the team and huge thanks go to both. We now have a full squad. Hurrah!
This year has been an impressive year in terms of the support we have received. The success of both the 125 celebrations and Holiday@Home would not have been possible without it. It shows what a wonderful, inclusive and supportive church community we have. We should all be proud.
As we look towards Christmas there will be plenty of other opportunities to lend a hand. One area where we need help is the AV support for the services. This is something that the teens can help out with (and secure DofE credits) but there’s no age limit. Please let us know if you are interested or want to know more.
Our focus will be be on supporting the circuit with all the staffing issues. We are looking at increasing the number of joint services, and local arrangements to ease the pressure. If anyone would like to be involved, please let us know.
And a lot of work will go into Anna Chaplaincy. We will need everyone to support this project. More detail on what it is about and what it entails can be found here.
If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please feel free to chat to any of us or email our Senior Steward on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Until the next update….
