Circuit Farewell Service – 17th July 2022
The Circuit Farewell Service for our Ministers who are moving on was held on the evening of 17th July 2022. We were treated to super music and a wonderful sermon from the Reverend Ermal Kirby.
For those of you not able to be there, I attach the Order of Service (minus the hymn words due to copyright limitations). Andrew Prout wrote some very beautiful prayers and these were led by members from MRMC, SJPB, DVC, Ludwick Way and Birchwood churches, as well as ecumenical partners. The Zimbabwe Fellowship Choir, many of whose members worship at Oxlease, sang. Mike Sheehan from HRMC played the organ and piano so well, and the singing was enhanced by the HRMC Music Group. There were folks from each of the 10 Circuit churches in the congregation, as well as other friends, relatives and ecumenical friends. Our Senior Circuit Steward Stuart Johnson led a tribute of thanks to those who were leaving. And each of the Ministers who were leaving chose a hymn and said why it was special.
The sermon was recorded and can be listened to be clicking the play “triangle” below.
The sermon has also been transcribed by one of our members and is also located below in pdf format.
