Community Sports Day

The Churches Together in St Albans Community Sports Day at Westminster Lodge Track - Saturday 25th June 2016 - 10:30 - 16:30.

This annual event takes place this year on Saturday 25th June at the Westminster Lodge track on Verulamium Park, commencing at 10:30am and running through to approximately 4:30pm.

It is being organised by one of our own church members, Susan Devi.

At least six churches will be participaiting on the day and we are very much hoping to enter a team.

There are categories for all age groups (3-4yrs, 5-7yrs, 8-9yrs, 10-11yrs, 12-13yrs, 14-39yrs 40-59yrs and 60+yrs) with all kinds of fun events.

Names are required by 18th May, so please put your name down for a maximum of four events. There os someting for everyone.

The signing up sheet is in the foyer or speak to Eric Bridgstock who has agreed to co-ordinate and manage the team.

I act as commentator for the day and can confirm that it is an excellent and fun packed day.

Even if you do not want to compete why not come and share some fellowship together, have a picnic and support the teams.

From experience - bring some shelter whether it looks like rain or shine. The track is very exposed and there is not anywhere to shelter from sun or rain, hopefully we will need our sun hats and plenty of suncream!
