We are grateful to Lianne, Ros and the Music Group for their contributions this week. Again some of this weeks service has been created on YouTube so click the play button on those sections. For the audio only sections please click the triangle to the left of each soundbar to listen to that section.<\/p>\n<p>As always, there is more that I would like to squeeze into a service than it is practical or desirable to do. I have been catching up with newer worship songs and rather than add them to the worship, I will incorporate them as &#8220;Optional&#8221; items when I lead worship. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-28051\" class=\"text Rom-5-3\"><sup class=\"versenum\">3&nbsp;<\/sup>Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-28052\" class=\"text Rom-5-4\"><sup class=\"versenum\">4&nbsp;<\/sup>perseverance, character; and character, hope.<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-28053\" class=\"text Rom-5-5\"><sup class=\"versenum\">5&nbsp;<\/sup>And hope does not put us to shame, because God\u2019s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-28054\" class=\"text Rom-5-6\"><sup class=\"versenum\">6&nbsp;<\/sup>You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-28055\" class=\"text Rom-5-7\"><sup class=\"versenum\">7&nbsp;<\/sup>Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-28056\" class=\"text Rom-5-8\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8&nbsp;<\/sup>But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Matthew 9 verse 35 to 10 verse 8<\/h2>\n<h3><span id=\"en-NIV-23415\" class=\"text Matt-9-35\">The Workers Are Few<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"text Matt-9-35\"><sup class=\"versenum\">35&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-23416\" class=\"text Matt-9-36\"><sup class=\"versenum\">36&nbsp;<\/sup>When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-23417\" class=\"text Matt-9-37\"><sup class=\"versenum\">37&nbsp;<\/sup>Then he said to his disciples, <span class=\"woj\">\u201cThe harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.<\/span><\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-23418\" class=\"text Matt-9-38\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">38&nbsp;<\/sup>Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"en-NIV-23419\" class=\"text Matt-10-1\">Jesus Sends Out the Twelve<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"chapter-2\"><span class=\"text Matt-10-1\"><span class=\"chapternum\">10&nbsp;<\/span>Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-23420\" class=\"text Matt-10-2\"><sup class=\"versenum\">2&nbsp;<\/sup>These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John;<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-23421\" class=\"text Matt-10-3\"><sup class=\"versenum\">3&nbsp;<\/sup>Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-23422\" class=\"text Matt-10-4\"><sup class=\"versenum\">4&nbsp;<\/sup>Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-23423\" class=\"text Matt-10-5\"><sup class=\"versenum\">5&nbsp;<\/sup>These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: <span class=\"woj\">\u201cDo not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.<\/span><\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-23424\" class=\"text Matt-10-6\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">6&nbsp;<\/sup>Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.<\/span><\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-23425\" class=\"text Matt-10-7\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">7&nbsp;<\/sup>As you go, proclaim this message: \u2018The kingdom of heaven has come near.\u2019<\/span><\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-23426\" class=\"text Matt-10-8\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8&nbsp;<\/sup>Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons.
