I hope this finds you all well, particularly at this
\nchallenging time. Life has changed for all of us over the last month. We’ve been particularly encouraged by the support you have offered for those who are particularly vulnerable, by raising your voice to ensure
\nthat everyone is being cared for. We\u2019ve seen some great
\nprogress, but support is still needed for many.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the midst of a changing world, at JPIT we want to
\ncontinue to hold our Six
\nHopes for Society<\/span><\/a> before the Church by continuing to work for peace and
\njustice. One of the ways we are doing this is through our Stay & Pray
\ninitiative, which you can find out more about below.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this issue we’ve highlighted lots of opportunities to get involved, to ensure that
\nthe safety of all people is enabled during this crisis. We hope that you will continue to join with us in lifting up their

At the beginning of April 2020, JPIT\u2019s four partner Churches
\njoined the UN Secretary General\u2019s call for a global ceasefire, to support Governments in responding to the common threat of Coronavirus. Some of the most
\nvulnerable people on the planet live in conflict zones. Whilst the Government
\nhandles the urgent priorities of responding to the effects of the virus at
\nhome, the UK also has an important role in building, strengthening and
\nsustaining the global partnerships crucial to combatting this crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n

Coronavirus is affecting communities around the <\/span>world. As
\nthe pandemic spreads to the poorest countries in the world, fewer resources and
\nfunds will mean that the safety nets we\u2019ve seen in the UK won\u2019t be possible for

\nhorizons to narrow. Yet, more than ever, it is important that we lift our eyes
\nbeyond our own immediate situations, making sure that as we retreat to our
\nhomes, our prayer life doesn\u2019t retreat inwardly too.<\/span><\/p>\n
