Hatfield Road Methodist Church is celebrating its 125th Anniversary.\u00a0 Please come and join us. Here’s what we have planned.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday 2nd June <\/strong>10.30am<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Morning All Age Service with a special invitation given to those who have been baptized or married in the Church to attend.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday 2nd June <\/strong>4pm<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A pilgrimage celebrating the story of Methodism in St Albans. Starting in Verulamium Park (meeting on the corner of the far car park, near the running track, at Westminster Lodge) and finishing at Hatfield Road Methodist Church with tea & cake around 6pm ahead of Songs of Praise at 7pm. The walk is 3.7 miles and will stop at a number of places significant to the Church\u2019s story and its life and work today.\u00a0 On the conclusion of the walk and service at Hatfield Road, transport will be available back to Westminster Lodge for anyone who needs to collect their car.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday 2nd June <\/strong>7pm<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A service in the form of a \u2018Songs of Praise\u2019 celebrating our story in song, and hearing from members of our Church today about what their faith means.<\/span><\/p>\n

Monday 3rd June to Friday 7th June every evening at <\/strong>9.15pm-9.45pm<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Led evening prayer with a focus each evening on the Church and the Local Community.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tuesday 4th and Thursday 6th June <\/strong>9.30am<\/strong> \u2013 12 n<\/strong>oon<\/strong> and <\/strong>7pm \u2013 9pm\u00a0 and <\/strong>Saturday 6th June <\/strong>9.30am<\/strong> \u2013 12 n<\/strong>oon<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Come visit the Church to see a series of displays that capture the story of the Church, its work in the community today, the Christian faith we proclaim, and our hopes as we look forward to the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday 5th June 7.45pm<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Story of Fleetville – St Albans’ own East End: A talk by local historian Mike Neighbour.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday 8th June <\/strong>6pm<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Church Family Celebration Meal (tickets and invite only)<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday 9th June <\/strong>10.30am<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A Celebration Service<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday 9th June <\/strong>4pm<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A Celebration Outdoor Tea Party with live music from Casino Royale, a steel drum band, and with Cllr Caroline Brooke and Mayor Elect Cllr Janet Smith as our guests. The street party will be followed by an outdoor service in the Church grounds at 6pm. This will remind us of how the Church began with public outdoor preaching and a firm desire to reach out to the local community.<\/span><\/p>\n
