The Church Council role is to unite those who hold responsibility in the church into one working community.
It has authority and oversight over the whole area of the ministry of the church, including the management of its property. Aims and methods, the determination and pursuit of policy and the deployment of availabe resources are its resposibility.
Other committees may be appointed by it to address specific issues, but they remain subject to Church Council’s authority and oversight.
The Church Council meets at least 3 times a year, usually in early October, January and June. Members of the Church Council are appointed by the General Church Meeting.
