MHA Events
Please could I ask that you advertise within your District (in particular but not exclusively Local Preachers and worship leaders) and networks a couple of upcoming events that I think will be really useful to a number of people.
The WELL event is taking place at 6 different locations around the country, aimed at preachers, worship leaders and pastoral visitors who help to lead worship for people in later life, either in a church, community or care home setting. The resources we’ll be sharing have been developed by our chaplaincy within MHA and are designed to help people lead worship in a context which may include people living with dementia. The event reflects MHA’s mission to help improve the quality of life for older people and is provided free of charge. Booking details are on the flyer.
The other event is the launch of a new annual lecture series – the Walter Hall lectures – at Westminster Central Hall. The Rt Hon Lord David Willetts will be speaking on intergenerational responsibility, especially in the area of funding and support in later life. This is open to all.
I would really appreciate it if you could share details of these 2 events. Going forward we hope we can offer more and more training and resources so that together we can support people in living later life well.
Many thanks
Crispian
